Laboratory Department Specialty
Department Overview
The Laboratory Department is one of the core units in the professional system of Hue International General Hospital, playing a key role in the diagnostic and treatment monitoring process for patients. Here, the entire testing process is standardized according to international standards, operating on a highly automated platform with new generation equipment from Roche and Sysmex to ensure fast, accurate, and confidential results.
With a team of highly trained technicians and a modern system of equipment covering all fields of biochemistry, immunology, electrolytes, hematology, coagulation, urine, and molecular biology, the Laboratory Department not only meets the needs of multidisciplinary testing but also effectively supports emergency cases, complex diseases, and advanced techniques. This is an important foundation contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive healthcare for patients.

2. Services and Expertise
The Laboratory Department offers a diverse range of laboratory tests, including:
Biochemistry - Immunology - Electrolytes: Assessment of liver, kidney, heart, thyroid function, hormones, cancer markers, metabolic disorders, etc.
Hematology: Analysis of 5-7 part complete blood count, peripheral blood cell count, assessment of anemia, infection, bone marrow disorders, elevated platelet count.
Advanced Coagulation: PT, APTT, Fibrinogen, D-dimer, DOAC test, platelet aggregation, cross-mixing, etc.
Urine tests: Analysis of urine parameters, screening for kidney disease, urinary tract infections, and metabolic disorders.
Molecular Biology (PCR): Detection of viruses (HIV, HBV, HCV, HPV, SARS-CoV-2, etc.), bacteria (MTB/RIF), viral load, and other pathogens.
3. Advanced Methods and Equipment
The Laboratory Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory systems from Roche and Sysmex, fully automated, ensuring high processing speed and superior accuracy:
The cobas pro system (cobas c503 - e801 - ISE): Processes thousands of tests per hour; supports biochemistry, immunology, and electrolyte analysis with high stability.
The Sysmex CN-3000/6000 coagulation system: Capacity up to 450 tests per hour, integrates HIL check, CWA waveform analysis, and advanced coagulation tests.
The Sysmex XR-Series hematology analyzer: Uses flow cytometry technology, analyzes many advanced parameters (RET, NRBC, IPF…), supporting more accurate diagnosis of hematological diseases.
UC-3500 Urine Analyzer: Up to 276 samples/hour, simultaneous measurement of multiple parameters with CMOS optical sensors and refractometer for reliable results.
Cobas 5800 Automated PCR System: Closed-loop processing from extraction to amplification, minimizing contamination, providing accurate and stable results.
