On the morning of December 19, 2025, Hue International General Hospital (HIH) was officially inaugurated at 15 Hanoi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City. This event held special significance as it coincided with the celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and was chosen as one of the locations for a live television broadcast nationwide, demonstrating the scale and role of the facility in the socio-medical development of the locality and the region.
With a total investment of over 2,300 billion VND, the opening of Hue International General Hospital is expected to contribute to improving the local healthcare capacity, enabling people in Hue and surrounding provinces to access modern medical services locally, while also easing the burden on the public healthcare system. In the long term, the hospital aims to meet the demand for international-standard healthcare services, expanding its reach to the Southeast Asian region.

Located in a prime location in Hue City, the facility comprises 16 above-ground floors and 2 basement floors, with a total usable area of over 20,000 m² and a capacity of over 260 beds. Patients and their families will receive comfortable care and rest throughout their treatment and recovery process.
According to hospital representatives, the unit focuses on developing many leading specialties such as: obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedics and sports medicine, anesthesia and resuscitation and pain management, aesthetics, general health check-ups and screenings… to meet the needs of comprehensive healthcare.
In parallel with its strategy of developing high-quality human resources, the hospital has invested in a comprehensive system of state-of-the-art medical equipment, effectively serving early screening, accurate diagnosis, and specialized treatment.

On the occasion of the inauguration, the hospital donated 300 million VND from the Social Welfare Fund to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, demonstrating its social responsibility.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, highly praised the responsibility, determination, and efforts of the investor, the board of directors, experts, engineers, doctors, and workers who contributed to the completion of the project on schedule, safely, and effectively.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City emphasized that, as a center for specialized medical care for the whole country and the region, Hue City has a system of reputable hospitals, medical training facilities, and a team of leading experts and doctors. The opening of Hue International General Hospital further affirms the goal of building Hue City into a high-quality, modern healthcare center; promoting the application of science and technology and reducing the burden on the public health system.
